How To Cancel My StockX Order

StockX Order

StockX Order

Purchasing sneakers and accessories from StockX ensures that you are getting high-quality items. StockX goes to great lengths to authenticate everything and only accepts deadstock items.

However, that guarantee comes with a slew of restrictions on how you sell and buy on StockX. This also means that you cannot cancel an order placed on StockX. This may appear to be unjust, especially if you have made a mistake.

However, there’s a reason StockX doesn’t simply give you that option. Are there, however, any exceptions? And what should you do once you’ve received your order?

Why StockX Won’t Cancel Your Order

When your StockX Bid or Ask is accepted, the process of placing your order is completed automatically. You filled out all of your information, including your payment method and billing information, when you created your StockX account.

As a result, you’ll receive an order confirmation at the same time the seller is notified about the purchase. This system was developed by StockX in order to protect the market’s integrity.

If the company wants customers and sellers to buy into their ethos, it must do so. If someone can cancel a bid because they’ve changed their mind or are chasing a higher price, StockX’s business model is disrupted.

When you buy something on StockX, both the seller and StockX anticipate that the transaction will continue. As a result, the lack of a “Cancel order” option on the purchase page makes sense. That’s why StockX asks you to confirm your order multiple times before completing the transaction.

Are There Any Exceptions?

The StockX rule against cancellations ensures that everyone who enters the bidding process intends to complete it. Is there, however, anything that can be done in the event of an unintentional purchase?

What if you really want a pair of shoes but have chosen the wrong size? Or maybe your fingers were a little too quick, and now you’re anticipating an order you can’t afford?

In this case, your best bet is to contact StockX directly. If you make a compelling case, there’s a chance they’ll let you off the hook – even if it’s just once. There are, however, no guarantees.

You can write their support team a heartfelt explanation letter and hope for the best. You can also send them a tweet using the @stockx handle if you prefer a shorter and more public plea.

If the seller fails to deliver the product when promised, you should contact them as well. Sellers must ship an item within two business days, according to StockX guidelines. Then it’s up to StockX to perform the authentication.

If the seller does not send it, you can contact StockX support and request that your order be canceled. The chances are that they will agree. The seller will be charged a penalty fee or his StockX account may be suspended as a result.

What to Do with the Wrong Order?

It’s too bad you weren’t able to cancel your StockX order by explaining your situation to their customer service. But all is not lost. You have the assurance of authenticity and quality because you purchased StockX.

This means you’ll be able to quickly resell sneakers or other items. And who knows, you might even be able to recoup your shipping costs. You can put them on sale using StockX to see if you can get a better deal.

You could also put them up for sale on other websites. However, make sure to mention that you have a StockX tag to prove the item is deadstock. You might be wary of the process if you’ve only ever bought on StockX and never sold anything.

StockX, on the other hand, makes everything simple. You are not required to take photographs or write clever descriptions. All you have to do now is look through the extensive catalog of products and make your selection.

Then you can either place an Ask or Sell Now, that’s up to you. You can even decide how many days you want your item to be up for sale. When that time expires, StockX will notify you and ask if you wish to renew.

Hitting the “Buy” Button Carefully

On StockX, it’s easy to get carried away. There are a plethora of amazing shoes, hats, bags, watches, and collectibles to choose from. Everything is in perfect working order and comes in its original packaging. However, “buyer regret” is a real thing, and you may become anxious after making a purchase.

If you’re certain you can’t afford something, or if you’ve made a mistake, head over to the StockX Twitter pager or send them an email. Then all you have to do is wait and hope for the best.
