The toolbar on the left side of the window is arguably the most important thing you use when working in Photoshop. It gives you access to all of the tools you’ll need to create and edit the images you’re working on.
However, there may be tools in that toolbar that you never use, and you’d like to clean it up so you can be more productive. Fortunately, Photoshop CC includes a feature that allows you to edit this location and remove any tools you don’t want or need.
How to Get Rid of Photoshop CC’s Unwanted Tools
There is no way to completely remove a tool from the toolbar in Photoshop CC. It does, however, allow you to drag it to the “Extra Tools” section at the bottom of the toolbar. This effectively removes it from the default toolbar view, but it remains accessible in the event that you later discover that you require that tool.
Open Photoshop CC.
Choose the Edit tab at the top of the window.
Select the Toolbar option at the bottom of this menu.
In the left column, click and drag the tool you don’t want to the right column. Once you have finished dragging and dropping tools, click the Done button at the top-right of the window.
