Search Engine Results Page (SERP)

Search Engine Results Page (serp)

SERP means “Search Engine Results Page” which is the page displayed by the search engine after the user sends the user’s request, SERP abbreviation refers to the Search Engine Results Page.

In addition to natural search results, search engine results pages (SERPs) typically include paid search ads and pay-per-click ads (PPC).

Thanks to search engine optimization (SEO), SERP’s ranking position can be very competitive because users are more likely to click results at the top of the page.

With the introduction of the planning link, SERPs have become more complex in anticipating user needs.

In simpler terms, the SERP search results page includes SEO pages and Google ads for click (paid). Cashless results are also called organic results. SERP is a term widely used in SEO terms.

Google Search Engine Results Page

A search Engine Results Page (SERP) is a page you see after entering a search query on Google, Yahoo or any other search engine.

SERP design for search engines varies, but as Google is the most popular – with more than 80% market share – we focus on its features and algorithms.

What are the different types of research?

The features of the SERP search results page displayed after the search depend on the type of search entered, search terms typically fall into one category of 3 categories: navigation, information or transaction.

  • Mobility tips

Navigation queries happen when someone searches for a particular website but does not write the full URL of the site, unless the search engine specifically searches for you, it will be difficult to access the first page of these results.

To use your site’s navigation queries, consider buying ads for the keywords you want – for example, the name of your business, for example.

  • Media Questions

A person asks a media question when they want to learn something, such as basic information about a topic or how to do a particular task.

Search engines don’t usually look to buy, but the right content often leads them to a particular brand.

That’s why it’s so important to create content relevant to the needs, desires, and interests of your target audience.

Adding multimedia content to your site can be an effective way to generate traffic to request information.

Transaction Enquiries

When people consider buying something like a particular product or commodity from a large group, they ask business questions. Trading queries achieve the highest revenue, so keywords contain a lot of offers for PPPs.

This means that in addition to organic search results for transaction queries, people will also see relevant financial results.

Financial advertising is popular among companies because it is effective. According to research by the online advertising group WordStream, approximately 65% of clicks on SERPs are made in paid ads.

Advertisements Paid For Membership Lists

Paid and membership listings on Google’s search results page look very similar. Since each can help you increase the number of visitors to your site, you need to create a strategy that includes both

Paid Ads Feature and Place Ads on Search Engine Results Page

Google puts paid ads at the top of the search results page, usually showing 4 ads on a desktop computer and 3 ads in a mobile browser.

Usually, more than 4 companies compete for the same keyword search phrase, so Google must select the ads on the first page of the results

Google Advertising Decision Factors
For decision-making, Google considers several factors:

  • Bid Value
  • Page quality for people who click on your ad.
  • The quality of the advertisement itself.
  • Their importance is determined by research.
  • If Google concludes that your site is better and more relevant than your competitors, it will appear in the first result

Value of organic listings in SERP

Organic listings are replaced by search engine optimization (SEO), a set of ever-changing technologies that you can use to help your site rank at the top of the search results page.

Like paid ads, you should have a high-quality site for a good organic arrangement, and care about SEO controls when designing the site.

However, Google is constantly changing its algorithm to get the best out of it, so it’s important to be aware of new or upcoming updates.

What are the features of the SERP search results page?

Today’s SERP search results page is more visual than in previous years, as well as general search results that simply display the name of the site and metadata, searches can also return photos, purchase offers, tweets or information cards.

Each feature generally falls into one of the following categories:

Knowledge chart features: These appear on a page or box in SERP, often on the right.

Rich pieces: Add additional images to the result, such as stars in product reviews or photos in news results.

Money results: You can buy these items by suggesting relevant keywords. Financial results include a sign at the top to indicate that they are the result of an announcement.

Global results: These are specific results that appear alongside organic results.

Below is a list of features you may see on the search results page, if you want to view your page as a special feature, consider how to redesign and organize your site to achieve this.

Google Ads

Google Ads, formerly known as Google Click Ads or Google AdWords.

It often appears at the top or bottom of the SERP search results page. It’s easier to get ads at the bottom of the page, but you’ll get more views at the top.

Reaching the top of the search results page to a high-quality site, sometimes based on the competitiveness of keywords, requires a high price per click.

While seeking a higher ad requires more effort and a higher price often, it also has significant benefits: people will see your ad before any organic research.

Featured excerpt in the search results page

The featured extract appears in SERP in a separate box from the search results list. It catches the eye because it displays content from the site that includes searchable keywords.

If people find the information offered usefully, they are more likely to click on this link.

The site should already be on the first page of the search results to get a distinction, so reaching this achievement should be your top priority.

At the same time, make sure your page content is informative and contains the keywords you want.

When Google’s algorithm determines that visual information is specifically relevant to the search, the SERP search results page will consist of a row of images and a click to search for Google photos.

Google uses a different photo algorithm than written content, but following the best practices below can help search engines find and arrange your photo content.

Make sure you use:

  • Detailed and descriptive file names
  • Alternative image and text translation
  • Relevant text
  • A page title is accurate and attractive
  • Reading Page Title
  • Medium size rectangular images (keep in mind 9 16 16, 3 4 4, and square)
  • If you can include your photo in other locations, you will have a better chance of appearing in the SERP photo package

in-depth articles

Google has launched in-depth articles to see longer parts with evergreen content. They are not necessarily the latest or latest articles, but they contain information that is not old and often written by prestigious authors or published by prestigious magazines.

In 2019, people realized that detailed article boxes would no longer appear. According to Google, these articles have not been removed and still have priority, but no longer have a separate section.

Knowledge Card

Knowledge energy is a box in the SERP search results page showing specific facts about the search topic, similar to the Wikipedia mini page. Google extracts these facts from a library with more than 3.5 billion data points.

They are useful for informational queries because they not only provide the required information but also provide contacts that the researcher did not initially pay attention to. For example, in The Simpsons Creator’s knowledge card, you may see links to books and profiles of voice actors on IMDb

Knowledge Card in Google Results

The information card is similar to the knowledge card but more targeted, for example, the search for navigation of a particular restaurant may lead to the display of a dashboard that includes the restaurant’s address, phone number, website and general visiting hours.

Local Business in search results

The local package appeared when someone entered a query with a place name or when Google’s algorithm discovered a search element nearby.

The local package is displayed as a map with pins indicating functions related to the search term. Below the map, Google lists names, classifications, and contact information for specific functions.

For example, searching for “pharmacies” may lead to a local package showing you the location of your nearest pharmacy with their contact information, the use of local SEO strategies will be to improve the results of your business.

News Box on SERP Search Results Page

News boxes appear if the search shows specific results of time and/or recent news. Whether you have a full news website or just a news section, you can send your site to Google News Publishers Center.

Google News algorithm automatically crawls to accepted pages, so a news box is a great way to get visits if you have the right content

Relevant questions

For each search, there is a range of similar searches that use different words. Google often displays these items in SERPs search result pages under the heading “People also ask” or “[Questions related to query].”

In recent years, the number of clicks on the results of “relevant questions” has increased. There is only one link in each relevant link, and for your site to reach this point, it must be on the first page of the results of those relevant questions.

While you’re there, you can make some SEO changes to help Google locate you to answer “relevant questions”

More clicks

To access the reviews feature, you should post comments with explicit star ratings on your website. Consider adding a plugin to your website that allows customers to share their descriptions and give your business a star rating.

If you use WordPress it will be very simple

Shopping Results

Purchase results appear in SERPs for many transaction queries, these results – which usually appear at the top of the page or in the right column – are limited to 8 per keyword, so there is a lot of competition.

If you want to highlight your business in your shopping results, plus get high-quality photos, great product sales results, and competitive price, you need to offer enough.

One alert? You cannot select your keyword for purchase results. Google Merchant Center does this on your behalf.

Site Section Links

Website links help users find certain pages on the site. For example, if you’re looking to “change my Amazon password,” the site will display a link to the Amazon account page below Amazon’s main URL.

Google’s web crawlers identify site links from your website, so make sure you create your site with clear and relevant topics such as “products” or “blogs.”

The more links you get to the site, the easier it is for visitors to get where they want to go.

Twitter Tweets

Google has been posting tweets on some SERPs since 2015. There aren’t always tweets (most likely appear when the subject is popular), but this feature can help convince people to go to your Twitter feed.

Google video results will appear if the site contains search-related video content. Like photos, make sure your description, ambient text, and video address are accurate and descriptive.
